Through the IJUE KODI YAKO – LIPA NA SHIRIKI project, we strengthen tax justice and accountability in Tanzania by empowering young people and civil society to actively participate in decisions that affect public resources. Our mission is to ensure taxation is fair, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of all communities.
We build partnerships between civil society, government institutions, and local communities, equipping youth and community actors with the skills and knowledge to engage in tax policy discussions, advocate for equitable reforms, and hold decision-makers accountable.
The project focuses on:
- Promoting fair and inclusive taxation
- Reducing the burden on marginalized communities
- Expanding opportunities for youth, women, and small businesses
Strengthening civic engagement and policy influence
Through this work, taxation becomes a tool for equity, social justice, and sustainable development, ensuring every Tanzanian benefits from and contributes to national progress.
