Restless Development has launched its annual State of Youth Civil Society survey today.
Do you want to improve support for youth-led change? Then take part and help shine a light on the challenges faced by youth civil society and the changes it needs to thrive.
Who can take part?
If you are involved with a youth-led or youth-focused organisation, group, or movement then Restless Development wants to hear from you.
“We know young people are at the forefront of responding and rebuilding in our communities, and this report will take a deeper dive around the world to generate crucial insights as to how youth organizations and movements are being impacted, how they have stepped up and what support they need.
“As a youth researcher who worked on the first ever State of Youth Civil Society Report in 2020, Resilient Realities, I am excited to be collaborating again with Restless Development and partners to develop on this important piece of research, which will help us to understand how the world has changed one year on for youth organizations and movements.”

Youth Power in a pandemic
Last year Restless Development published Resilient Realities: The State of Youth Civil Society 2020, which shone a light on the challenges faced by youth groups and organisations as a result of worldwide covid lockdowns, reduced resources, and shrinking civic space. Once again, in 2021 we will focus on the challenges, impact and resilience of these organisations in a pandemic. Findings will be used to advocate for better support for youth-led change, especially in building a better world.
