Joseph Munyangabo is the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) Country Representative for Uganda. In his capacity, he leads the overall strategic direction and management of WFD’s program portfolio in Uganda (http://www.wfd.org). Munyangabo is a democracy and good governance specialist who has managed a range of democracy strengthening projects focused on legislative and political party strengthening, youth and gender inclusion, people with disabilities (PWD) participation, campaign planning and management, public affairs, conflict resolution, civil society coordination and subnational governance among others. As a strong advocate for inclusion and meaningful participation of marginalized groups in Governance and social economic development processes he has been at the center stage of guiding youth, PWD and women organisations in designing programs and projects that amplify their voices and make their numbers count in influencing the national policy agenda.

Concepta is currently working as a Manager-People, Performance and Culture at KPMG Uganda. She holds a Masters’ Degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelors’ Degree in Office Management. Before Joining KPMG, she worked with several companies including Uganda Telecom and Exquisite Solution Uganda.

Samuel Kavuma is a Program Management and Development Specialist, a Youth Development practitioner by training with over ten years’ experience working with the young people. Both in elective and technical positions, as a Chairperson at the National Youth Council of Uganda for a period of 5 years, before which he worked as a Youth participation officer at Restless Development; was a member of the Commonwealth Eminent Persons Group and 1st Vice President at ICGLR Youth Multifunctional Youth Forum. In regard to consultancy, he has worked on Capacity Development and Corporate Governance Trainer with Synergy Square Consult ltd and Currently Working with the Office of Leader of Government Business at Parliament of Uganda. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management (BHRM) from Makerere University and just completed a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Uganda Christian University.

Lastone is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda, a Practice Director at ALP Advocates Kampala, and an alumnus of Restless Development Uganda. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Uganda Christian University – Mukono, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre – Kampala, and is a Masters of Law Candidate at the University of South Wales in the United Kingdom. Lastone is an instructor and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Law of Uganda Christian University.As a young legal practitioner, Lastone is a young people oriented, self-driven, enterprising, and visionary and focused lawyer with a profound and growing national, regional and international perspective of legal practice. Being a direct beneficiary of young people oriented interventions of Restless Development, Lastone is committed to supporting initiatives and interventions that empower the livelihood, sexual reproductive health and civic participation of young people.

Irene Ikomu is a lawyer and consultant based in Kampala, Uganda. She is the CEO of Muyi Consulting Group, a strategic advisory firm, and the co-founder of The Citizen Report and Parliament Watch Uganda- civic tech initiatives supporting innovative citizen engagement. Prior to her role at Muyi, she worked with the Heinrich Boell Stiftung and the Aga Khan Foundation, supporting resilient civil society across 6 countries in Eastern Africa.

Arinaitwe Francis is currently a student at Makerere University. He has been a volunteer with Restless Development Uganda on an HIV prevention and My voice my right Programs, as well as a youth researcher on the Mastercard Foundation Youth Think Tank program and a youth champion who informed the new MasterCard foundation young Africa works strategy in Uganda. He has also served Swisscontact Uganda as a group dynamics and leadership trainer in which he has seen over 1000 youth groups engaged in agribusiness, hospitality, welding, construction and painting successfully trained. He is also a member of the youth forward initiative Uganda chapter which is also a policy influencing initiative that supports young people in agriculture funded by the MasterCard foundation.

Rehema is a certified Public Health Professional, Sexual Reproductive health and rights trainer and mental Health advocate. She graduated with a first class honors degree in Bachelor of Science in Public health and obtained a certificate in Sexual and Reproductive health and Rights from Makerere University school Of Public Health and Rutgers from Netherlands. She is passionate about community health and leadership interventions for young people. At Public health ambassadors Uganda she served as the Menstrual Health Management champion for projects targeting underserved communities and enhancing information on Menstrual health management. She is currently working with Open Space Centre as the Assistant Programs manager and has been instrumental in the organization’s strategic planning process, fundraising and program Implementation. She is committed to advancing health for young people in all aspects and working to boost young people’s meaningful engagement in social and economic development.
